here are several ways available to approach junior high pupils and their needs. For instance, teachers need to consider the influence of the environment and culture on their lives. Their style and choice of music, television shows, videos, fast foods, and clothing fads cannot be ignored. Of special interest is the research of scholars who have studied and analyzed their physical, emotional, and intellectual growth. Although such research is beneficial, it should never be construed to be so definitive that no room is left for individuality. To shed insight into this matter, this article will examine relevant research into the many factors that impact and influence these young people.
