This essay makes no pretense of breaking new ground, or suggesting a bold new analogy about the Trinity. Rather it seeks to underline an older themeóthat the dogma of the Trinity is the most comprehensive summary of the gospel, and that it also ìsums up and guards the specifically Christian experience of God. Thus it is both about the Good News itself, and it bears witness to the right way in which the Church ought to respond to it.
