One way to help hearers overcome the widespread biblical illiteracy of our day is to draw them more deeply into the biblical story by preaching a sermon series on a broader text or even a book. If narrative creates faith, a fuller narrative can have rich reward. Toward that end, we hear in this article five Luther Seminary faculty members preaching through the book of Ruth.
